Engine options
Rotax Aircraft Engines, link
We believe that Rotax 912 UL (80 hp) will be the most used engine. It has suitable power, maintenance knowledge is everywhere, and spare parts are easily available. And in Europe at least, possibility to use car fuel is great advantage. Biofuel usage can be modified, as our Brazil friends have experience. Engine need some auxiliary parts around it to work; cooler (and hoses), oil cooler (and hoses). Exhaust is not with factory shipping.
ULPower Aero Engines, link
An air cooled direct drive engine from Belgium. Package is easy to install, as it has only one part (engine). Has wet sump oil reservoir. Engine has fuel injection.
Continental Engines, link
O-200 and C90 are air cooled aircraft engines. C90 is older, not available as new engine, but refurbished old are on market. Data for O-200 or C90 can be read from type certificate data sheets E-252 . O-200-D is lightweight version, which uses 100LL fuel. O-200-AF has equal weight and is designed for unleaded fuel. Engine is easy to install, as it has only one part (engine).
